My recommendation for an itinerary
- Arrive at Vancouver Airport (YVR) and pick up a rental car (Expedia,
Travelocity,
Orbitz, or
Priceline)
- Stay a few days in
Vancouver for local attractions & activities
- Consider the wonderful day trip by
ferry to
Squamish and
return by train with high tea served on board
- Drive inland to Interior BC -
Harrison Hot Springs,
Okanagan Valley orchards & vineyards
- If time permits, drive further east to the
Canadian Rockies for
Banff,
Lake Louise, &
Jasper
- Back to
Vancouver, take the ferry with car to Victoria.
- Lots of tourist sites around
Victoria - MUST visit
Butchart Gardens
- Drive around southern, then western coast of
Vancouver Island to
Sooke and go another 16
miles
- Must visit
Point-No-Point
- at least for high tea by 4pm
- Drive back to
Victoria, then up eastern coast of Vancouver Island to
Duncan
and
Nanaimo
- Take ferry from
Nanaimo back to
Horse Shoe Bay north of Vancouver.
